I have many things to be thankful for but one that stands out above the rest is you, “I thank my God every time I remember you.” The last few months have reminded me why God called me to First Baptist in the first place. I have witnessed firsthand the way that you serve those in our church and those in our community.
Last month, we hosted the largest Trunk or Treat that we have ever had. There were hundreds of people from our community that attended and I heard them saying the same thing, “Thank you so much for having us, everyone is so kind.” It makes me proud that people see the kindness that this church so freely offers. I pray that they see our hearts, too.
May we always have a heart for serving others. As we prepare to host the annual Thanksloving Feast, may we remember that God has called us to be a light in this community.
Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1 (NIV)
