Fixing things around the house is not one of Jeff’s gifts even though he tries his best. He endures camping trips for the good of his family and often amuses them with his views on camping. He is thankful for family, friends, and his calling. God has been good to him through it all. Jeff looks forward to serving alongside God’s people in the years to come.

Tori is married to her best friend, Cole, and together they are raising two sons—a four-year-old Gray, and their newest addition, Blake.

When she’s not at church or working with students, Tori is most often found with her family—cherishing the gift of motherhood, tending to the needs of others, and soaking in the quiet moments when they come. She is committed to deepening her walk with Jesus. At the heart of her ministry is a desire to help build a lasting foundation of faith through building relationships with those she serves.

Cole Freeman is a graduate of UNC Greensboro, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in music education. He serves as the Orchestra Director at Myers Park and Butler High Schools. Under his leadership, students from both schools have competed and performed at both regional and national levels in prestigious honors orchestras and music festivals.

Cole began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly discovered a lifelong passion not only for music but also for the power it holds to connect and inspire. Over the years, he has developed a deep love for using his gifts to bring people closer to Jesus through music. In addition to his teaching roles, Cole regularly performs with local symphonies and is a founding member of the Linden String Quartet.

When her second child was born, she was fortunate to be able to step away from her job at Pharr and become a stay at home mom. Her grandmother, Jessie Rhyne, was still living and she also became her main caregiver. For 15 years she was blessed to be able to spend valuable time with her grandmother until she passed away almost 3 years ago at the age of 105.

She started looking for a local part time position and was excited when she saw the opportunity here at First Baptist Church. She’s really enjoyed working here the past few months; everyone has been so kind. She thinks this is such a great church, and she’s loved meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends.
